About this event

This interactive program details approaches to political risk assessment and mitigation for investors undertaking projects in developing countries. While the workshop is oriented toward investment and commercial activities, it also has relevance for those interested in governance, security, and economic development issues. The workshop will help participants develop a structured approach to anticipating and managing country risks which could undermine project success.

Ms. Cammett (YC ’09, MBA ’12) is an international trade and development professional dedicated to helping companies function in challenging environments while making a positive impact in developing economies. As a Senior Risk Management Officer at the World Bank Group's Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), Mena analyzes economics, politics, and governance in emerging markets to provide investors with political risk guarantees against expropriation, political violence, currency transfer risks, and government breach of contract. She is also responsible for measuring the economic development impact of investment projects in the local community and host-country.
