About Us

The Yale Environmental Law Association (YELA) aims to build community among YSE and YLS students interested in the environmental law and policy. YELA seeks to draw attention to all aspects of our natural and built environment through community events, panels and reading groups, and opportunities to serve historically marginalized and frontline communities in the fight for environmental justice. YELA places special emphasis on creating a community that is anti-racist, sustainable, and equitable for all students. Accordingly, YELA prioritizes events centered on racial equity and justice within the environmental movement. We welcome everyone to join us, regardless of prior environmental background or experience.
