About Us

The Yale Health Law and Policy Society (YHeLPS) serves as a central hub for health-related programming at the Yale Law School. YHeLPS invites speakers, plans career info sessions and networking events, organizes experiential learning opportunities like the medical-legal partnerships, and coordinates with other health organizations throughout Yale University.

A Message from the Board

On behalf of the Yale Health Law & Policy Society, welcome to Yale! We are incredibly lucky to have a huge variety of opportunities in health law at YLS, and YHeLPS serves as a central hub for the health law student community. We plan speaker events and conferences in collaboration with other groups, as well as more informal meet ups throughout the year. Some of the focuses for the upcoming year are projects related to the gun violence prevention, mental health and disability law, presidential candidates' policy positions on healthcare, and global health. In your first semester, we hope you'll take advantage of our great events and get to know some of the other students who are interested in health law. There will also be opportunities to get involved directly with event coordination and by joining the Yale Journal of Health Policy, Law & Ethics. Be on the lookout for more information on our welcome brunch held early in the semester!
