In honor of Black History Month, join the Yale African American Affinity Group for a curated tour of the Yale Art Gallery, with a special focus on African Art.

Things to keep in mind for your visit:

Upon entering the Gallery at the main entrance, located at 1111 Chapel Street, check in at the Information Desk in the Gallery lobby.
Large groups will be asked to store all coats, bags, and backpacks in the lockers located on the lower level before entering the galleries.
Groups must be divided into smaller parties of 10-15 people per guide.
Eating, drinking, and chewing gum are not allowed in the galleries.
Be careful not to touch artwork or lean on objects, cases or walls.
We ask that you not gesture toward a work of art with a pencil or any other object.
When discussing an artwork in the galleries, please keep hand gestures at a clear distance from the work itself.
You may take non-flash photographs, but only of works from the permanent collection.
Only pencils are allowed within the galleries, and they are available upon request at the Information Desk in the Gallery lobby.
