Join us for a lively, interactive and informative dive into the essential skill of cultural competence in the workplace. We start from an obvious fact: people are different. They differ by age, race, gender, ethnicity, family background, personality type, educational/career background, economic class, expertise, experience, values and so many other ways. Across those differences, we find ways to build and support creative teams in the workplace - or we don't. Join YSE's own Chenee Gallaher and her team in cultivating an understanding of why cultural competence across differences is important, and an understanding of how each of us can work across differences and develop skills to assure greater success in whatever workplace you aspire to. Leave with skills you can use right here at YSE, and with ideas for further work and learning at Yale ... and beyond.
