Dearest Democrats,
Wishing you all a great conclusion to the week and a memorable Alumni Weekend ahead. There are a ton of incredible events planned with many accomplished alumni. We encourage everybody to attend as many of the events as you can and engage with the alumni community. The Yale Law Democrats will participate in Friday night’s student group and alumni receptions at The Underground and the Well in the Schwarzman Center, and we hope to see you there.
Please see below for some informational updates on events, our activities, and a link to our Board application.

YLDems Board Application
The YLDems Board would like to involve more of the community in our planning and organizing. To facilitate this, we'll be opening up a few positions on our board, primarily geared toward 1Ls and transfers. We have 1L Representative positions open on our Executive Board, as well as committee positions requiring less of a time commitment. Please fill out our brief application by Wednesday, October 25th at 12pm. Application link here.
VoPro Training Follow-up
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2023 Election Voter Protection Training last week! If you couldn't make it, but still want to volunteer for the Voter Protection Hotline, you can sign up here: http://bit.ly/3ZOm6Jd. However, please only sign up if you can commit to at least 2 shifts before election day on November 7th, as it takes time and effort for the DNC to vet you. If you've signed up but haven't heard back from the DNC, Nick Klimek, or Allyson Legnini, please let us know. If you have any other questions about the hotline, don't hesitate to reach out to Ben Friedman (ben.friedman@yale.edu) or Victoria Maras (victoria.maras@yale.edu).
Yale College Democrats Mentorship Program
If you'd like to participate in our mentorship program with the Yale College Democrats, please fill out this Google form. The Yale College Democrats have been super helpful, so it would be great for as many of us as possible to make ourselves a resource for the undergrads. Signing up will be a low-stakes commitment to meet with an undergraduate student once or twice per semester. YLDems will reimburse reasonable expenses for coffee for these mentorship meetings.
Best,
YLDems Board 2023-24
