Make change from the bottom up!
Support the equitable distribution of basic needs through volunteering with the Diaper Bank of Connecticut.
Volunteers will leave from Dwight Hall promptly at 9:30am and travel to the site via CT Transit bus.
From the Diaper Bank:
"Our volunteer days are hosted at our warehouse location in North Haven, CT. Our warehouse is 36,000+ square feet, so we like to take volunteers on a tour to share the scope and scale of our operation. Our volunteers help process, sort, and repackage our donated products (infant & toddler diapers, period supplies). Volunteers are critical to our mission because their work allows us to get these basic essentials to the families we serve as quickly as possible."
The Diaper Bank of Connecticut’s mission is threefold in scope:
* To ensure that families living in poverty have an adequate supply of diapers, period supplies, and incontinence products;
* To raise community awareness that “basic human needs” include diapers, period supplies, and incontinence products and that these needs are not being met for individuals and families living in poverty;
* To advocate for policy reform so that diapers, period supplies, incontinence products are included in the definition of and provision for the “basic human needs” of families.
