Mission
The Environmentalists of Color Collective aims to build community among students of color who share an interest in the Earth, the outdoors, and environmental justice issues. By centering and celebrating the voices of environmentalists of color, we seek to challenge the historical and ongoing marginalization of people of color within environmental movements. We engage in this work primarily by providing an affinity space, organizing outdoor trips, hosting creative projects and speaker events, and engaging in advocacy to reimagine contemporary environmentalism as a more inclusive effort for a safe and sustainable world.
