Swap Room

The swap room is located in the basement of 533 Prospect Street at the Whitehall Apartments. To find the building, take a right onto Canner Street from Prospect, and walk straight through the parking lot to 533. The door to the building and basement will be open when the swap room is open. Swap room hours this semester are Tuesdays from 7-9pm.

We have a ton of awesome items for you to take from the swap room! We have kitchen supplies and utensils, summer and winter clothing for adults and children, strollers, changing tables, furniture, shoes, books, toys, home decor, printers, tech, and much more. Please stop by and take what you need!

The swap room does take donations, but only of GENTLY used items and food items that are CLOSED and NOT EXPIRED. We DO NOT take the following items:
- Worn apparel and footwear (I.e. clothing that has been ripped/torn because of use, shoes with
soles that are worn out,…)
- Dirty clothes
- Pillows, blankets, comforters, or sheets
- Plush and stuffed animal toys
- Damaged items or items that don't work
- Open food items or open cleaning products
- Expired items
- Large pieces of furniture (I.e. dressers, beds, tables, …)

Donations can be placed in the cage with the sign "Swap Room Drop Off". Please be mindful of what you donate to the room, and whether it can be reused by someone. The swap room exists as a place for us to share our extra items, not a place to deposit unwanted/waste/damaged items. Anything that cannot be used will end up being tossed out!
