Mission The Yale GSAS BIPOC Grad Collective (BIPOC-GC) is a graduate student interdisciplinary, social affinity and professional development organization that brings together graduate students and faculty members from diverse disciplinary, racial, and ethnic backgrounds who might otherwise not have the opportunity to meet. Through intimate dialogues and special public events, we aim to highlight intersections across academic fields and member research needs and interests, learn from firsthand professional experiences in academia, and celebrate cultural and intellectual diversity at Yale and beyond.
Membership BenefitsEvery semester, we invite a faculty member at or outside of Yale to share a meal with us and discuss topics that are on our mind as a group over which our guest faculty member may share insight. We also meet up on occasion for co-working sessions and, depending on additional sources of funding, may host a public-facing event highlighting an area related to a member's research interest or community commitments.
