Dear Students,
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming kickoff meeting for the Health, Equity, and Anti-Colonial Liberation (HEAL) Coalition at YSPH! This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community committed to engaging in critical dialogue and action surrounding important issues.
HEAL is dedicated to creating a space for discussion on the public health impacts of genocide, occupation, the military-industrial complex, American privilege, and conditions in the Global South. Our goal is to hold space for conversation, facilitate the sharing of diverse experiences, and discuss our responsibilities as practitioners in the context of war, conflict, and public health. By exploring the central tenets of resistance and liberation, we aim to foster an environment of curiosity and learning around complex and often overlooked issues.
Through teach-ins and additional programming, we will create avenues for resistance and exploration of liberation. Together, we hope to build a strong community that feels empowered and inspired to cultivate compassion and work towards a world that is both liberated and healthful.
Please RSVP using this link to join us for our first meeting, which will be held next Monday, September 30th, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm in LEPH 101. We hope to outline our plans for the year, discuss upcoming events, and explore how you can get involved. Food from Havenly and snacks will be provided.
A Zoom option will be available.

The HEAL Coalition
