Mission
Established in April of 2019, EECO is Yale's first student organization dedicated to inspiring a generation of environmentally-conscious individuals by teaching K-12 students in New Haven. EECO builds strong relationships with local schools and community organizations by developing and teaching place-based curriculum, as well as by leading field trips in New Haven and implementing sustained environmental education projects to reinforce students' learning in the classroom.

The Environmentalists of Color Collective aims to build community among students of color who share an interest in the Earth, the outdoors, and environmental justice issues. By centering and celebrating the voices of environmentalists of color, we seek to challenge the historical and ongoing marginalization of people of color within environmental movements. We engage in this work primarily by providing an affinity space, organizing outdoor trips, hosting creative projects and speaker events, and engaging in advocacy to reimagine contemporary environmentalism as a more inclusive effort for a safe and sustainable world.

The Yale Conservation Association for Undergraduate Students (YCAUS) is dedicated towards fostering a community of Yale students dedicated towards protecting the planet’s biodiversity and natural resources. Such a voice is sorely needed at Yale – YCAUS is currently the only undergraduate organization with a primary focus on conservation. By investigating potential solutions for the planet’s climate crisis and raising awareness of habitat destruction and the planet’s ongoing sixth mass extinction, YCAUS's mission is to support conservation research and to foster discussion of recent developments in the environmental sciences.

The Yale Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Undergraduate Group (YEEBUG) is a student organization committed to furthering educational, social, and community service opportunities for undergraduates interested in ecology and evolutionary biology. Open to all Yale undergraduates, YEEBUG will function to increase interaction among students outside the classroom and to encourage meaningful connections with faculty members in the natural sciences. Through field trips, study group meetings, forums, workshops, guest lectures, and special student-faculty dinners, YEEBUG will foster a community and make widely available the resources of Yale's Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. YEEBUG also will actively promote student involvement in biology-related activities that serve the local community.

Capitalize on interdisciplinary majors, concentrations, and interests of students, to envision and promote viable solutions to pressing energetic and environmental problems.
