Have you ever heard of tie-dye? If not, check out Molly Makes Many Colors to see what it’s all about!

Whether this is your first time trying it or you’re a tie-dye expert, we invite you to join OISS for a special outdoor in-person tie-dye experience this summer!

OISS will provide the dye and one white bandana for everyone, but we also encourage you to bring a white t-shirt that you can dye and take home with you. And if you don’t have a white t-shirt, feel free to bring some white socks, white shorts, or whatever white piece of clothing you’d like to tie-dye!

On the day of the program, make sure to wear clothing that you don’t mind if you get a little dirty, or just plan to be really careful while dying. The actual process of tie-dying doesn’t take long, so we will also have a yard game or two set-up to play once you’re done.

This event will take place at College Woods in East Rock Park, which is easily accessible by the Yale Shuttle or walkable if you live in the East Rock neighborhood. We encourage you to bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit comfortably in the park while you socialize!

You must register to attend. In case of inclement weather, OISS will be in touch on the morning of the program to cancel if necessary.

We will be following all university COVID-19 protocols, so here are a few reminders for the event:

  • Wear a mask even if you're vaccinated
  • No food or drinks will be provided, so bring a water bottle if you'd like
  • Unfortunately no guests/family members are permitted on university events at this time
  • Registration is limited to 20 people so if you register and can no longer make it, be sure to let us know so we can open your spot to someone else
