Details
Our colleague Alison Thompson (graduate student, Yale School of the Environment) will join us to discuss the physical and mental health benefits of spending time in nature, and the importance of taking outdoor study and work breaks! David Shimchick from FERP (Friends of East Rock Park), will meet us there and share information about the history of the park, as well as environmental stewardship, advocacy, and community engagement efforts.
We will meet at College Woods Park on the corner of Orange Street and Cold Spring Street. Please bring your own water bottle and comfortable shoes and clothes. The event will take approximately 2 hours. A communication will be sent out to registered participants the day before to confirm weather status.
Registration is required for this program and is open to the graduate student and international community. This event is open to adults only (18+).
Please note that this is a relatively easy path but you must walk at your own risk.
