Welcome back to our Crafts around the world series, this time featuring crafts from India! At this event, you'll have the opportunity to learn a classic craft from India: kolam, also known as muggu, tarai alangaram, and rangoli.

Kolam is a form of decorative art made with rice flour or chalk powder, traditionally used in South India to welcome guests and bring good luck. In this event, we will use paper to create your own kolam with paper instead of traditional rice flour.

Our instructor, Krishna, will guide you through the steps of making your own kolam, so you can take home a beautiful and unique souvenir of this cultural experience. Along the way, you'll also learn about the history and significance of these crafts in Indian culture, and discover some fascinating stories and legends behind them.

To complete the experience, we'll also be serving delicious Indian snacks, so you can enjoy some authentic flavors and aromas while you work on your crafts. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a beginner, this event is suitable for all ages and skill levels. Come join us for a fun and enlightening evening of creativity and cultural exploration!
