Don’t throw away that sweater just because a button fell off! Join OISS and the Office of Sustainability for an evening of sewing basics and learn how to salvage your clothes that might otherwise end up in the dumpster.

We will provide you with a small sewing kit to teach you some simple stitches. We encourage you to bring your torn or worn-out clothing to learn some simple stitches to bring your favorite fit back to life. Together we’ll learn how to fix a hem, sew on a button, and stitch up a hole!

Spaces are limited and you must register to attend. Open to adults only.
