Join us for an afternoon trip to visit the Yale Polo and Equestrian Center in Bethany, CT!
We have a very exciting afternoon planned for you with the Yale Polo team, which will include an overview of the sport and plenty of horse interaction!
We have 10 spaces available at an higher cost for those that are interested in riding – those spaces are very limited due to horse/staff availability so sign-up ASAP.
For those of you that don’t get to ride, you’ll still get to help groom and prepare the horses with equipment, and we promise there will be plenty of time for pets and selfies!
Here’s the schedule for the day:
1:15pm – meet at OISS to board the bus
2pm – arrive to Yale Polo & Equestrian Center for introductions
2:30pm – Polo overview; fundamentals, rules, and swings
3pm – Horse preparation; grooming, equipment (riding for those with purchased spots)
3:30pm – Working stations; foot mallets, wooden horse, mounted
4:30pm – Untack and recap + photo ops
5pm – Depart center for OISS
5:30/45 – arrive back to OISS
Important Notes: All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver on the day of the program and this event will happen rain or shine. This event is only for adults (18+), and refunds will not be issued once you purchase your ticket.
