We will first join a group tour led by Farm Manager Interns around Yale Farm, and then experience what it is like to be a casual farmer at Yale: simple, communal tasks may include making sure the egg-laying hens have ample food and water, tilting soil for future plantings, and weeding vegetable beds.
We are ending the day with a small picnic at the Yale Farm Pavilion, refreshments provided by OISS! But you are also welcome to bring snacks to share with all.
Don't miss this if you are interested in the sustainability practice at Yale Farm, or simply want to hang out with friends while helping out with casual farm work.
Please register to attend; please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for this program at Yale Farm. In case of inclement weather, OISS will be in touch on the morning of the program to cancel/postpone if necessary.
