OISS Town Hall Webinar: Updates on Elimination of Duration of Status

This summer, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security published a final rule that will eliminate the current “duration of status” (D/S) policy for F and J nonimmigrants. The rule’s effective date is September 15, 2026, which is just around the corner. 

Please join us for us for a Town Hall where we will review what we know, what it will mean for F & J students and scholars, and how OISS will support you moving forward. 

You are highly recommended to provide any questions you have as you register for this session. We will consolidate all responses and try to address as many questions and concerns as possible. 

This session will take place on Zoom, and registered participants will receive a confirmation email with the link to the webinar. While this session will be hosted on the Zoom platform, it will be a webinar and not a Zoom call. Participants will not be visible to other participants.
