Turn Your Findings into Impact

How do you make your research resonate beyond academia? Join us for a conversation with Michael Fitzgerald, award-winning writer, editor, and communicator who has built a career at the intersection of science, storytelling, and public engagement.

Michael currently serves as editor-in-chief of Cambridge Day, a nonprofit news site in Massachusetts, and interim communications director at the Yale School of Public Health. Previously, he led Harvard Public Health magazine, edited for The Boston Globe Magazine and Nieman Storyboard, and has written for The Economist, Fast Company, and The New York Times.

In this workshop, Michael will share lessons from decades in journalism and science communication—how to translate complex ideas, tell compelling research stories, and make your work matter to audiences that need to hear it most.
