Details

Poorvu Faculty Fellow and Professor of Epidemiology and Associate Dean of Community & Practice at the School of Public Health, Dr. Mayur Desai, will facilitate an interactive, virtual workshop on how their program at the School of Public Health is using a syllabus checklist to promote equity and accessibility across the curriculum. The session will explore the origins, goals, and practical application of the checklist, which guides faculty in aligning their syllabi with inclusive teaching principles. Participants will learn how the checklist prompts reflection on course content, policies, assessments, and learning environments to ensure the needs of your diverse students are proactively addressed.

We ask that attendees bring a syllabus of this choice as they will have the opportunity to engage with the checklist directly and consider how similar tools might be adapted for their own contexts.
