Are you teaching in a humanities course this semester and you don't know where to start? Join our four-part workshop on the Fundamentals of Teaching in the Humanities! Through interactive demos, engaging group discussions, and personal reflection, we will create a community of graduate student teachers dedicated to improving their pedagogy. We will explore strategies for designing weekly lesson plans, facilitating student learning through writing, generating vibrant classroom discussions, and practicing equitable assessment. Participants will gain hands-on experience with techniques and tools applicable at Yale and beyond. We invite participants from across the disciplines interested in teaching and learning in the Humanities to share their own experiences for workshopping and discussion.

Participation in at least three of the four sessions is required for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP). For more information, please contact Eden Rea-Hedrick (eden.rea-hedrick@yale.edu) and Oliver Lucier (oliver.lucier@yale.edu).
