How do we become excellent and effective Chemistry teachers? Together, we’ll explore resources and strategies to make your first time teaching Chemistry at Yale a successful and productive venture. This four-part workshop series will dive into research-backed teaching strategies designed to create an active and engaging learning environment through the lens of equitable practices. This series will conclude with an opportunity to implement these strategies in a sample lesson and receive feedback from your peers. Participation in at least 3 of these sessions is required for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP), and this series is mandatory for first-year Chemistry Ph.D. students. For more information, please contact co-facilitators Taylor Dover (taylor.dover@yale.edu) and Jerry Xu (jerry.xu@yale.edu).
