What does it mean to foster an engaging and supportive teaching environment in our classrooms? In this learning community, we will explore this question through discussing evidence-based equitable teaching philosophies and practices. This learning community is open to all postdocs, associate research scientists (ARS) and Doctors of Nursing Practice (DNPs) and is aimed to be complementary to the CIRTL course, An Introduction to Evidence-Based Undergraduate STEM Teaching, which will be counted towards the requirements for the postdoc Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP). All participants are expected to either simultaneously enroll in the CIRTL course, or have taken it previously. The link to the CIRTL course can be found here: https://cirtl.education.wisc.edu/course/view.php?id=311. For more information, please contact the facilitator, Swathi Manivannan (swathinachiar.manivannan@yale.edu).
