Four Part Workshop Series: Join us for a discussion-based, journal-clubesque workshop series where we explore current controversies in pedagogy by engaging with a variety of current literature on the scholarship of teaching and learning. Each session will focus on a different topic, including: lecturing vs. active learning; technology vs. traditional teaching; and inclusivity, diversity, and bias. You will have the opportunity to reflect on your teaching, have frank conversations with an interdisciplinary group of peers, and prepare informed answers to job market questions. Postdocs and graduate students with teaching experience and some familiarity with pedagogical techniques (ex. Fundamentals or other Poorvu Center programming) are especially encouraged to attend.
