Have you ever wondered whether some teaching methods might be more effective for student learning than others? In this Fundamentals series, we will provide an introduction to evidence-based teaching and how to incorporate scientific studies of student learning, retention, and motivation into the classroom. By the end of this Fundamentals series, participants will be comfortable with finding and interpreting sources from the teaching literature and will be familiar with several evidence-based 'best practices' for the classroom. Please note that this workshop requires preparatory reading before each session. For more information, contact sooyun.choi@yale.edu and jeffrey.fisk@yale.edu. Workshops take place on Feb. 9, Feb. 16, Feb. 23, and March 2.
