1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Join us for a discussion-based workshop series where we explore current controversies in pedagogy by engaging with a variety of literature on the scholarship of teaching and learning. Throughout the four sessions of this series, we will discuss antiracist pedagogy and inclusive teaching, student resistance to active learning, technology and online learning, and alternative grading strategies such as ungrading and contract grading. You will have the opportunity to reflect on your teaching, have frank conversations with an interdisciplinary group of peers, and develop strategies to discuss your teaching practice. Attendees should be prepared to read a few articles before each session to facilitate discussion. For more information, contact Gavi Levy Haskell (gavi.levyhaskell@yale.edu) and Mac Crite (mac.crite@yale.edu). Workshops will take place on 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, and 11/2.
This event is part of the "Fundamentals of Teaching: Contemporary Controversies" series. To register, please visit the series page: https://cglink.me/2dA/r1185880
