Cognitive psychology and other fields constantly provide evidence that refines and improves our understanding of how learners absorb and process information. Drawing upon this research, this two-part workshop explores strategies for optimizing learning–attending to both how we can foster a conducive learning environment for our students and how to develop iterative habits that will sustain us throughout our careers as pedagogues. This is a two-part workshop, meeting on 2/27 and 3/5 (3 - 4:30pm). Please contact Yasmeen Asali (yasmeen.asali@yale.edu) or Nathan Smith (nathan.smith@yale.edu) for more information.

This workshop will be held in person.

ATWs are designed as deeper dives on a given topic. This two-session ATW is especially relevant for participants who want to experience a sustained engagement with cognitive pyschology and its relationship to pedagogy.
