Wrote an awesome term paper that you want to share at a conference? Found an interesting conference and need help reframing your paper to fit the theme? This workshop will teach you the basics of conference presentations: choosing the right conference, writing the abstract, shaping your paper for your intended audience, navigating funding and registration, presenting engagingly, and sparking a meaningful conversation during the Q&A.

A special treat: A Representative from the Graduate Student Assembly will speak briefly about the Graduate Student Assembly Conference Travel Fellowship (CTF), which awards up to $800 to support travel to PhD students to recognized professional conferences and academic meetings.

Intended audience: GSAS and professional school students in the humanities and social sciences
