Applying for the NSF GRFP provides an opportunity to secure competitive funding and recognition, and, just as importantly, to hone critical grant writing skills that will benefit you for many years to come. In this workshop, you will learn about the NSF GRFP application process and core components, and you will receive advice about preparing a competitive application from:
  • Associate Dean Rob Harper-Mangels (head of the Office of Graduate Fellowships and Yale's coordinating official for the NSF GRFP)
  • Sydney Shuster (PhD candidate in Chemistry, NSF GRFP awardee, and GWL Fellow)
  • Nicole Allen (PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering, NSF GRFP awardee, and GWL Fellow)

Intended Audience: This information session is targeted towards first-year graduate students in STEM (including the social sciences). Note that only U.S. citizens or residents are eligible for the NSF GRFP.
