Is U.S. academic writing new to you? Are you hoping to feel more confident about how American writers approach essays for their courses? Are you unsure about expectations in graduate school? In this workshop, you will get an introduction to the conventions of academic writing in the United States and an overview of time management, communication, and adaptability. You’ll leave with strategies and resources to develop your writing and these so-called “soft skills” at Yale.

The four-part ""Honing Your Academic Writing Skills: Divinity School Series” beginning September 23, will help you continue building these skills so you can start the fall semester strong.

Intended audience: This workshop has been specifically designed for new international students at the Yale Divinity School but all YDS students are welcome.
