Please join SALSA and APALSA in welcoming Judge Amit Mehta (D.D.C) to YLS! Before rising to the bench in 2014, Judge Mehta worked at the D.C. Public Defender Service for four years between stints in private practice. He served on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project and is the former co-chair of the District of Columbia Bar’s Criminal Law and Individual Rights Section Steering Committee. Judge Mehta will speak with Professor Sarath Sanga (‘14) about his nonlinear career path, the music references in his opinions, and his rising prominence as an antitrust jurist in Big Tech cases, such as last year’s U.S. v. Google.

*This is an inclusive and welcoming event. If you have questions about accessibility or would like to request an accommodation, please include your requirements with your registration form or contact Cyrus Khandalavala at cyrus.khandalavala@yale.edu.
