This panel will address critical questions about how the Dobbs decision reverberates in international law, the role of conscientious objectors in healthcare, and the implications for women’s rights worldwide. Our distinguished speakers include:
· Claudia Flores, Clinical Professor of Law, Director of the Lowenstein Clinic, and Director of the Schell Center for International Human Rights: Appointed to the UN Working Group on Discrimination Against Women and Girls, Flores brings insights from her work on conscientious objector issues and international human rights law.
· Alice Miller, Associate Professor (Adjunct) YLS; Professor in the Practice, YSPH; and Co-Director Global Health Justice Partnership: An expert on the intersection of law and health, Miller has worked extensively on gender, sexuality reproductive justice, and access to services.
· Mindy Roseman, Director of International Law Programs and Director of the Gruber Program for Global Justice and Women’s Rights: An advocate for women's rights, Roseman has focused her career on reproductive justice, international law, and the legal frameworks affecting women globally.
Join us for this critical conversation on the evolving tensions between reproductive rights, individual beliefs, and international legal norms in the post-Dobbs era.
