To foster community camaraderie around the landscape and culture of the Western United States for students from that region (and who miss it dearly) or who are curious about it. In contrast with the Western Communities and Connections group / Ucross), Westies is not explicitly focused on academic or professional pursuits, but rather on building the sense of community and support among western students at YSE.
