Come learn what you really need to know for the next four years as you experience and explore New Haven. A 45-minute introduction to basic yogic breathing practices. Designed to bring awareness to the breath-body-mind connection with the goal of relaxing and bringing balance to the nervous system. Spots are limited; sign up.

Opening Assembly on Cross Campus features  addresses by Peter Salovey, President of Yale University, and Pericles Lewis, Dean of Yale College. All first-years are required to attend and be in their seats by 10:45 a.m. Proper attire should be worn. Guests of students are invited to attend. Seating for guests will be available via College Street will begin at 10:15 a.m. This event will be livestreamed and posted to Yale's YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/yaleuniversity). Bags larger than 12x12, including all backpacks and luggage, will not be allowed. All other bags are subject to inspection.

Bring your family to experience lunch in a residential college. The six dining halls open for Camp Yale are open for families and would be thrilled to have you visit!

Air Force ROTC Detachment 009 will be open from 0800-1500 to all current and incoming cadets and their families, and to anyone else interested in learning more about how to become an officer in the US Air Force or Space Force. "La Bienvenida" is a Spanish-language orientation for the caregivers of the incoming first-year students. Over lunch, La Casa will host a panel of Spanish-speaking constituents to help welcome the caregivers and highlight Yale's offerings in their dominant language.

An introduction to Yale's iconic central library, and an overview of 21st-century library services for undergraduates.┬áFamilies should enter via Bass Library, using the steps on Cross Campus. We will gather in the Thain Café in Bass and then proceed to Sterling. (There is an elevator near the entrance by the Berkeley North courtyard for those who might need it.)
