Hi everyone,
If you are receiving this note, it is because you have registered for tonight's JStreet event about Israel education in American Jewish institutions. Danya, Odessa, and I are incredibly excited, and we're looking forward to seeing you all there!
There are, however, a lot of moving parts, and we will need your full cooperation to ensure that the event runs smoothly. To that end, we ask that you make note of the following:
1) The event will begin at 7:00 pm sharp in Silliflicks (Silliman College, entryway C). Out of respect for everyone involved, we ask that you try to arrive by 6:45 and no later than 6:55. A JStreet leader will be in the Silliman courtyard to direct you to the theater. If you do not know how to get there, there will be a group leaving Slifka at 6:40 (led by me, Noah) to go to Silliman.
2) Unless you have given us advance notice, if you show up after 7:05, you will not be allowed into the first half of the event.
3) Only people who RSVP'd to the event will be allowed to attend. Please do not bring friends if they did not RSVP. For those of you on the waitlist, we encourage you to show up. There are likely to be last-minute cancellations, and the waitlist is relatively small, so the odds are in your favor.
4) The first part of the event (including an intro, the screening of Israelism, and a brief Q&A with the movie's director) will run until 8:50. At 8:50 on the nose, we will end the Q&A and migrate over to Slifka.
5) The discussion part of the event with Yehuda Kurtzer will begin promptly at 9:00 in Slifka's big chapel. Soufganiyot and pizza will be provided.
Finally, we'd like to invite you all to join us in Slifka at 6:00 for a pre-event dinner. Several JStreet members will be present, and it should be a fun time!
See you all tonight,
Noah, Danya, and Odessa
