UPDATES ON MARQUAND CHAPEL
Dear YDS Community,
The chapel team has been working hard to ensure the continuity of worship for the YDS community. Considering recent changes to the Spring semester, and keeping in line with the Health and Safety Protocols of the University, Marquand Chapel will be moving to an online format effective the first day of classes, January 25th, under the following conditions:
- Chapel services will be streamed from the chapel and broadcasted to the YDS Community via web/Zoom platform.
- There will be a weekly link attached to each “Coming Up in Marquand” newsletter, so please be on the lookout to make sure you have the most updated link!
- Until further notice, only liturgical leaders (lectors, pray-ers, singers, etc.) will be permitted in the chapel. Liturgical leaders do have the option to participate virtually from home or another location, if they wish to do so.
- All participants must remain masked and physically distant throughout services. Capacity will be no more than 10 persons.
While these protocols are set until February 21st, we will continue to follow the guidance of the COVID Response Team, knowing that they are subject to change per the public health situation.
Though the situation is an ever-changing one, we are grateful to have the support and opportunity to continue worshipping with one another this semester. A special thanks to Kathy Antos, Erin Ethier, and John Stachniewicz for their adamant support and advocacy in helping develop a safe and sufficient strategy for Marquand Chapel services.
Until then, stay safe, healthy, and warm. Many blessings to you and your beloved. We’ll see you next week.
Warmly,
Dean Awet, Mike, and Nat
