The Yale Open Source Society (YOSS) aims to foster awareness and application of open source software (OSS) through the organization of interested students into a central community. This community will host regular group meetings to discuss innovations and developments in the OSS space, along with workshops to encourage collaborative adoption of OSS.
Members of the Yale Open Source Society gain access to an online support forum for technical collaboration and troubleshooting, opportunities to contribute to and develop open source projects, skill-building workshops focused on practical tools and workflows, and social gatherings that foster community, mentorship, and interdisciplinary connection.
