About Us

Yale Scandinavian Society has been an active group at Yale for the past decade and was registered as an official student organization in 2023. The purpose of the organization is to promote and celebrate the cultures, languages, histories, and traditions of the Scandinavian and Nordic countries. Through weekly brunches, celebrations of holidays, and events we strive to give new and returning Nordic-affiliated students opportunities to engage with questions related to our region of the world and strengthen our sense of community across nationalities, class years, and areas of study.
