About Us
The Somali Student Organization at Yale brings together Somali students to build community, celebrate our culture, and connect with the wider Somali diaspora. On campus, we will have community gatherings to raise awareness on Somalia, especially as the country faces ongoing droughts and floods. We also hold regular meetings, social events, and cultural celebrations to create a sense of belonging, and we share our heritage with the broader Yale community through cultural nights, guest speakers, and film screenings.
