About Us

The Yale Undergraduate Bee Space exists to build a community passionate about local bee populations including honeybees and native bees; sustainable food systems; and environmental stewardship. We aim to foster hands-on learning through beekeeping, supporting local ecosystems, and connecting students with local New Haven land. By engaging with nature and promoting awareness of sustainability, we explore the intersection of food systems, justice, and environmental equity, amplifying underrepresented voices. Through workshops, education, and collaboration with other organizations like the Yale Farm, the Yale Sustainable Food Program, and the Marsh Botanical Gardens, we empower students and the broader community to advocate for sustainable practices and cultivate a deeper understanding of our shared responsibility to the environment.
