The Black Graduate Network (BGN) at Yale unites all graduate and professional students of African descent, regardless of their school affiliation for fellowship, networking opportunities and service. BGN is open to all members of the Yale Community. BGN also strives to support and supplement the political, social, and community efforts of other schools and departmental minority organizations.

Mission
It is the mission of the GPSS to:
(1) foster interaction among students through the creation, promotion, funding, and sponsorship of community service and charitable events; social events; events of academic, intellectual, and professional interest; events or activities organized by official student organizations; events or activities of unofficial student groups;
(2) influence the policy, culture, and views of the University through representation on official University Committees, by expressing views of the student body to the administration, and by issuing statements of our position to the media and administration;
(3) build relationships with external groups for the purposes of official business and social interaction, including but not limited to Yale student organizations, Yale Alumni and the Yale Alumni Association (YAA), Yale undergraduate students and student organizations, Yale faculty, Yale staff, and the municipal administration and citizens of New Haven; and
(4) to liaise with the management of The Gryphon and Gryphon's Pub, oversee the management and maintenance of The Gryphon and Gryphon's Pub, and to act as a link between Pub management and the graduate and professional student body at Yale.

The Greenhouse Botanical Club is committed to furnishing a distinguished platform for Yale University members to engage in the study of plant science whilst enjoying a fulfilling experience. Participants will be afforded the opportunity to acquire valuable insights into plant propagation techniques and gain comprehensive knowledge about the diverse plant collections housed within the Marsh Botanical Garden.

Ace/Aro Space is an affinity group for those within the Yale community on the asexual (ace)
and/or aromantic (aro) spectra.
The ace/aro community is underrepresented, even within broader Queer spaces. Those who
identify on the ace/aro spectra often feel isolated and lack a community of people with common
experiences. Being part of a community can help individuals better understand their own
identities and improve their overall sense of belonging while at Yale.
Ace/Aro Space aims to serve as a community for those on the ace/aro spectra, with a
secondary goal of raising awareness and increasing visibility for the ace/aro community within
the broader Yale community and beyond.

The purpose of the Club is to foster a community of graduate and professional students from various schools within Yale University who share an interest in sailing. The Club aims to:
1. Promote the sport and joy of sailing among graduate students.

1. Yale Venture Club is an independent, non-political, and non-profit organization dedicated to promoting social and intellectual networking for all students within the Yale community, particularly for graduate students interested in equity investment and entrepreneurship.
2. Unite entrepreneurs, industry experts, VC/PE investors, and all others with a genuine interest in the venture field among the Yale community.
3. Establish a strong and long-lasting connection among all club members (including but not limited to current students and alumni across all Yale schools).
4. Aim to connect investors and startups resources within and beyond the Yale community to help further the growth of venture capital talents and startup founders, thus further enhancing the influence among different communities beyond the Yale campus.

The purpose of YANIS shall be to promote and develop the community of Yale students and postdocs from the Newly Independent States (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan) by the means of language and cultural accommodations. YANIS is also open to all Russian-speaking students and those interested in learning Russian.
