The Alexander Hamilton Society (AHS) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit, national organization that seeks to identify, educate, and launch young women and men into foreign policy and national security careers imbued with the Hamiltonian perspective of strong and principled American leadership in global affairs. Hamiltonians are united by a deep conviction, rooted in the history of the last century, that the world is a better, safer, and more prosperous place when the United States is willing and able to lead. Engaging citizens from all walks of life and at every stage in their careers, AHS seeds the ground for the future of American foreign policy.

CLAY is an organization providing a forum and community for Yale students who oppose abortion. CLAY upholds the dignity of human life and shares such message through weekly meetings, discussions, campus outreach, special events such as an annual conference, and other educational initiatives.

Established in April of 2019, EECO is Yale's first student organization dedicated to inspiring a generation of environmentally-conscious individuals by teaching K-12 students in New Haven. EECO builds strong relationships with local schools and community organizations by developing and teaching place-based curriculum, as well as by leading field trips in New Haven and implementing sustained environmental education projects to reinforce students' learning in the classroom.

The Environmentalists of Color Collective aims to build community among students of color who share an interest in the Earth, the outdoors, and environmental justice issues. By centering and celebrating the voices of environmentalists of color, we seek to challenge the historical and ongoing marginalization of people of color within environmental movements. We engage in this work primarily by providing an affinity space, organizing outdoor trips, hosting creative projects and speaker events, and engaging in advocacy to reimagine contemporary environmentalism as a more inclusive effort for a safe and sustainable world.

The Black Solidarity Conference at Yale is a completely student-run annual conference held in February. BSC is the largest undergraduate conference held at Yale University and it continues to grow each year! BSC invites over 700 undergraduates of of various races, religions, ethnicities, and communities to discuss issues pertaining to the African Diaspora. Through discussions, panels, networking, and social gatherings, students from across the country analyze issues affecting the Black/Afro-Diasporic community and explore solutions that can be implemented on their own college campuses. In the past, the Conference has hosted Drs. Michael Eric Dyson, Angela Davis, Nikki Giovanni, and Cornel West as keynote speakers. We've also hosted artists such as J. The Independent Party of the Yale Political Union is the premier forum for free and authentic student debate at Yale. One of the founding parties of the Yale Political Union, the IP is easily the Union's largest party and the only one that adheres to no specific ideology or political viewpoint; instead we aim to foster robust, open, and wide-ranging political discourse.

Our weekly debates are open to the entire Yale community and address challenging political, cultural, and philosophical issues. Our debate format is easily accessible and relies on Robert's Rules of Order to ensure that all voices are heard and respected. We encourage everyone–the casual visitor and committed member alike–to ask tough questions, give speeches, and actively explore their own convictions. Recently, we have debated some of the following resolutions: Resolved: Kill the Death Penalty; Resolved: Hypocrisy is Not Immoral; Resolved: WikiLeaks is Good for America; Resolved: Go West, Young Man; and Resolved: Defund the Arts

The Independent Party's motto is "Hear All Sides," and this is an imperative by which we live. At our debates, you will find bold expressions of opinions from across the political spectrum. One could say that the IP is home to libertarians, socialists, neo-conservatives, hard-line moderates, and almost everything in between–but in fact, we are a group of students who resist the claustrophobic categories of "liberal" and "conservative" popular in today's politics and reject the partisan pressures that demand adherence to a mass-produced political platform, in favor of intellectually honest and authentic approaches to forming and evaluating our worldviews. In the Independent Party we believe that openness of mind is the truest mark of genuine intelligence.

Along with our debates, the Independent Party hosts a wide variety of social events throughout the academic year. Whether watching a movie, arguing over drinks, or toasting at Mory's, IPsters are always having fun together. As we like to say, we take our ideas seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. The IP is one of the closest groups of friends you will find at Yale; the friendships formed in the IP stay with us forever.

We also go to New York City every semester to meet with prominent politicians, journalists, business people, artists, and media personalities. In recent semesters, we have meet with former New York Mayor Ed Koch, Obama Administration health care expert Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel, Editor-in-Chief of The New Atlantis Eric Cohen, CEO of the New York Public Library Tony Marx, UN Ambassador John Bolton, Historian Eric Foner, and the late William F. Buckley, Jr.

"Yale," George Pierson famously said, "is at once a tradition, a company of scholars, a society of friends." The Independent Party is much the same. Please join us at one of our debates this Fall and learn firsthand what this party is all about.

The mission of the William F. Buckley, Jr. Program is to promote intellectual diversity at Yale University. We aim to expand political discourse on campus and to expose students to often-unvoiced views. We believe that ideas have consequences and that genuine intellectual diversity is essential for advancing critical inquiry and avoiding ideological complacency. Our hope is that by providing a home for a diverse collection of serious conservative thought we can provide a forum for Yale students to consider and examine a range of political philosophies to which they are rarely exposed.
