Lorena Miranda Guevara

Lorena is a second-year student of the Master of Environmental Management at the School of the Environment. She is an industrial engineer from Lima, Peru, and before coming to Yale, she worked for almost nine years in project management and international development. Lorena worked in international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, where she worked closely with government agencies in public investment projects for the development of Latin America. She has worked on projects related to water and sanitation, solid waste management, geothermal energy, and innovation and competitiveness. She is passionate about the just and clean energy transition and providing clean energy access for vulnerable communities.

Fiacro Jimenez Ramirez

My name is Fiacro Jimenez Ramirez. I am an international student from Mexico City where I studied my bachelor’s degree in Politics and Public Administration in El Colegio de México. In 2020 I started my career as a professional in the field of environmental policy as I joined the Ministry of the Environment of Mexico City. For two years I was responsible for the evaluation, monitoring and improvement of the city’s social rainwater harvesting program (the largest rainwater harvesting program in the world for urban environments), which provided sustainable access to clean water to the most vulnerable households in the city. As part of my responsibilities, I was also in charge of leading the Ministry’s sustainable finance efforts. As I learned more about the intersection between policy, finance, and the environment, this led me to take the next step in my career; thus, in 2022 I joined the Federal Ministry of Finance of Mexico with the team responsible for the country's sustainable finance efforts. There I was responsible for Mexico’s portfolio in the Global Environment Facility, while also providing support for to the Ministry’s key efforts in the development of the National Sustainable Taxonomy, development of the national emissions trading system, and participation in high level fora such as the G20 and COP27.

Joining YSE as Fulbright and a Three Cairn Scholar, during my time in the master in environmental management I am focusing on developing my technical skills in terms sustainable finance. As I further specialize in the field of business and the environment, I plan to take courses such as Renewable Energy Project Finance and Corporate Finance; while simultaneously taking advantage of Yale’s extensive network in the environmental work. In line with the latter, with the help of YSE and the Three Cairns Group I will be joining the Mexican delegation in COP28 as part of the team responsible for the Sustainable Finance track.

Ultimately, after graduation in 2025, I intend to further develop my career in the field of sustainable finance becoming a professional capable to bridge the distance between the fields of politics, finance and the environment, whether through government action, private sector or through a multilateral international financial institution.

Bisrantee Wagle

Bisrantee Wagle is a Master of Environmental Management student at the Yale School of the Environment, where she specializes in environmental policy and climate change science and solutions. As the co-founder of Avni Center for Sustainability, Bisrantee has worked alongside local governments, youth citizens, and indigenous peoples on climate and sustainability projects in Nepal.

Vincent Haller

Yale School of the Environment

Vincent is a second year Master of Environmental Science candidate from Chile, focusing his research on forest carbon modelling for REDD+ in southern Chile. He has a professional interest in promoting nature-based solutions by designing proper incentives in the public sector or implementing conservation and restoration projects in the private sector.



Industrial civil engineering background with diploma in Environmental Engineering from P. Universidad Católica de Chile. He has 3 years of experience in the swiss consultancy firm EBP Chile developing projects related to climate change and natural ecosystems, with major focus on forest carbon.

Skilled in quantitative analysis, use of geospatial tools (remote sensing and GIS), and project management.

Fluent in Spanish, English, and German.

Passionate for outdoor sports and founder of a documentary series called Ecofreeski (www.ecofreeski.com ), which shows environmental problems from the perspective of outdoor sport athletes.
