Join us for a talk (and live demonstration) with Wu Fei, a virtuoso guzheng performer and composer, as she unravels the captivating history of the Chinese instrument, explains her lifelong connection with the music of ancient China, and treats us with a live demonstration!

Wu Fei (https://www.wufeimusic.com/) is a classically trained composer, singer, and master of the guzheng, the 21-string Chinese zither. She has performed around the world at venues including the Forbidden City, New York’s MoMA, Paris’ Quai Branly Museum, the North Sea Jazz Festival, Vossa Jazz, the Europalia Festival, and the Big Ears Festival in Tennessee.

Wu Fei will also be performing with clawhammer banjo player Abigail Washburn on March 2nd (Sat 7:30pm-9pm) at Yale Schwarzman Center
