Designing Startups in an Academic Environment, Fundraising with Kayla Wooley’21
Kayla Wooley ‘21 Is the Founder and CEO of Nurse Ranger and the Founder of StaffOnTap. She is a serial entrepreneur in senior care technology and the third generation in her family business of healthcare facilities. Kayla is a graduate of Boston College, has an MPH from the Yale School of Public Health, and holds an MBA from Cornell. Kayla combines her expertise in senior care, educational learnings, and passion for public health innovation to develop and grow healthcare startups that improve the quality of care for elders. Kayla’s a recipient of the Hartford Business Journal and CT Magazine 40 Under 40 Awards, was named Connecticut’s Future Leader of Long-Term Care in America by the American Health Care Association, and raised over $65,000 in prize money from grants and pitch competitions including winning the Yale Angels Pitch Off and the Cornell Ben Daniels Pitch Competition. Kayla has held numerous board seats and was most recently appointed to Accelerate Yale’s Governing Board.
