For GSAS students and postdocs exploring careers within and beyond academia, LinkedIn is a key tool for networking, visibility, and job searching. Employers and recruiters often use LinkedIn to identify and evaluate candidates before reviewing resumes, making a strong profile an essential part of a successful job search.

In collaboration with Propel Careers and the Yale BBS Development and Involvement Community (YBDIC), this workshop will provide practical guidance on how to build and optimize a LinkedIn profile that aligns with your career interests. The session will cover which profile sections matter most, how to highlight your experiences and skills, how organizations use LinkedIn to recruit talent, and how to use LinkedIn’s job preference features to signal your interests to recruiters.
