We will begin the evening with a 40-minute talk with Peter about New Haven's housing and food insecurity, and the history of the city that's led to the current situation.
The talk will be followed by the opportunity to create personal care kits that will be donated to a local non-profit and distributed to those in need. OISS will provide the supplies, but you are also welcome to bring items to donate to the cause so we can create more kits to distribute.
The list of items you can donate: Soap, toothpaste, hand warmers, socks, deodorant, sunscreen, pads and tampons, antibiotic creams, band-aids, and hand sanitizers.
This program is coordinated by our DEIB Fellow, Kimia Sinaeian.
Please register to attend and open to the Yale Community!
