Join us for a live online session focused on how AI is shaping teaching and learning at Yale. This month, we will take a closer look at the Gemini LTI in Canvas, including Gemini Chat, Gemini Gems, and NotebookLM.
We will begin with an overview of the AI tools and resources currently available at Yale, along with recent updates and new opportunities for teaching and learning. We will then dive into the Gemini LTI and explore how instructors and students can access Gemini tools directly through Canvas.
During the session, we will demonstrate several features and discuss potential teaching and learning use cases, including using Gemini Chat for brainstorming and exploration, creating customized Gemini Gems, and using NotebookLM to work with instructor-provided course materials and resources.
We will also spend time discussing classroom AI policies, considerations for incorporating AI into courses, and questions to think about when deciding how these tools might fit into your teaching.
As always, the final portion of the session will be open for community questions and conversation. Bring your questions, examples, ideas, or challenges. Whether you are already experimenting with AI or are just beginning to explore what is available at Yale, you are welcome to join us.
