Details
In the first session, we will review core academic legal writing principles, including structure, argument development, and addressing counterarguments. We will take a critical eye to academic legal writing examples, assessing the effectiveness of various elements of the writing.
In the second session, we will put on our writing and peer-review hats. Bring your draft (at any stage of writing—from a sketch of ideas to a full rough draft) and spend some time writing. Then, share a share a 1–3-page excerpt with a peer for constructive feedback on structure, persuasiveness, or any other issue of concern to you. You will leave this series ready to complete your paper on time!
